Earlier this year, a few blurred pictures from the booting ceremony stirred up some discussion for Monarch Industry 帝凰业 which was rumored to star A-list actress Zhang Ziyi. The rumors finally get a confirmation as a trailer was recently shown during an event to introduce the cast. It hasn't been official released so we only have the recorded video going around online
Zhang Ziyi will no doubt be participating in her first drama as Wang Xuan, the daughter of a prominent official. Zhou Yiwei plays Xiao Qi, a distinguished general and Zhang Ziyi's love interest. Other cast members include Tony Yang Youning (The Message), Zuo Xiaoqing (Ordinary Glory), and Yu Hewei (Tomb of the Sea).
Zhou Yiwei commented really positive things, saying that this was the most profound drama he has ever partaken in and that it's really rare to see another with the same good effects and high standards. Coming from someone who was in Tribes and Empires: Storm of Prophecy which was the epitome for groundbreaking cinematography, he is certainly setting expectations high.
It narrates the story of Wang Xuan and Xiao Qi who join together to stabilize the country amidst political disputes.
